Little Karter was a tiny wizard. He wore a soft blue hat. His wand was small, like a twig.
He lived near a warm jungle. The jungle went swish-swish. Leaves were big. Birds said “peep-peep.”
Little Karter felt a little shy.
“I am small,” he whispered.
But he was also brave.
One morning, a Prince came walking. The Prince had shiny boots and a kind smile.
“Hello, Wizard,” said the Prince.
“Hello,” said Little Karter.
The Prince looked sad.
“My golden cup is gone,” he said. “It is my special treasure cup.”
Little Karter blinked.
“We can find it,” he said.
So they walked into the jungle.
Step-step.
Splash-splash.
They passed a sleepy frog.
“Ribbit,” said the frog.
They passed a tall tree.
The tree shook its leaves like a big green blanket.
They saw a Pirate behind a vine.
He had a patch and a loud laugh.
“Har har! I found a shiny thing!” said the Pirate.
He held the golden cup.
The Prince gasped.
“That is mine!”
The Pirate grinned.
“Come take it, little wizard,” he teased.
Little Karter’s tummy felt wiggly.
But he held his wand.
“I can do a spell,” said Little Karter.
His voice was small, but clear.
He tried a big spell.
“Poof-a-boom!”
Nothing.
Just a tiny puff.
Little Karter frowned.
The Prince kneeled down.
“It’s okay,” he said softly. “Try a small spell. Small can be strong.”
Little Karter took a slow breath.
“In… out…”
He looked at the jungle.
He listened.
Swish-swish.
Peep-peep.
He pointed his wand at the vines.
“Vines, please wiggle,” he said.
Wiggle-wiggle!
The vines gently wrapped around the Pirate’s boots.
Not tight. Just sticky.
“Hey!” said the Pirate.
He tried to step.
He could not.
Little Karter pointed again.
“Bubbles, please pop!”
Pop-pop-pop!
Bubbles floated into the Pirate’s face.
He blinked a lot.
“Pff! Blub!” he coughed.
The Prince tip-toed.
Tip-tip.
He took the golden cup.
The Pirate huffed.
“Fine!” he said. “Keep your cup! I do not like bubbles.”
Little Karter waved his wand.
“Vines, please let go,” he said.
The vines slipped away.
The Pirate ran off.
Run-run-run.
The Prince held the cup up.
It gleamed like a little sun.
“Thank you,” said the Prince.
Then the Prince smiled wide.
“For you, Little Karter,” he said.
He opened a small pouch.
Inside was a star-shaped candy charm, shiny and safe, and a tiny new wand tip made of gold.
“A wizard upgrade!” said the Prince.
Little Karter’s eyes went big.
“My very own treasure!”
They walked back.
The jungle waved goodbye.
Swish-swish.
At home, Little Karter tried his small spell again.
“Light, please glow,” he said.
His wand tip sparkled.
A gentle light filled the room.
Little Karter giggled.
“I am small,” he said, “and I can do big things.”
The Prince clapped.
And the jungle outside stayed calm and happy.
