Kitty Cute Me was a young girl with soft pink hair and a heart full of curiosity. She lived in a cozy cottage on the edge of a great enchanted forest. Though she dreamed of adventure, she was timid and careful, shy about showing her true skills. Every morning, she practiced small spells in her garden, whispering to the flowers and humming lullabies to her little cat-shaped wand.
One bright spring day, the castle bells rang out a call for help. Princess Poppy Bright had wandered into the Living Maze beyond the trees, and no knight could find her. Kitty’s heart fluttered. Though she felt nervous, she remembered her promise to be brave. She tucked her wand into her belt, put on her cloak, and set off on a winding path into the forest.
The Living Maze was alive with twisting hedges and paths that shifted like ripples in a pond. As Kitty entered, she paused. The green walls hummed softly, and ivy leaves stretched toward her like friendly hands. She whispered an encouragement: “I can do this.” With each step, the hedge walls moved aside or shifted to hide one corridor and open another.
Deep inside the maze, Kitty heard a scared cry. “Help!” cried a voice. She hurried toward it and found Princess Poppy sitting on a mossy stone, her gown caught on brambles. Poppy’s eyes were wide with fright. “I took the wrong turn,” she quivered. Kitty knelt beside her and gently freed the gown. “I’m here to help,” Kitty said softly. “We’ll find the way out together.”
Hand in hand, they followed Kitty’s quiet instructions. She used a small charm to make a glowing butterfly light their path. The butterfly’s gentle glow danced along the twisting passages, guiding their steps. As they turned a corner, they froze. A large gray wolf with shining eyes blocked the corridor. Its low growl echoed through the green walls.
Princess Poppy trembled. Kitty felt her heart pound. But she stood tall. “I mean no harm,” she said to the wolf. She raised her wand just enough to cast a kindness spell. A soft blue light spread from her fingers, and the wolf’s eyes softened. The wolf sat back on its haunches, tail wagging slowly. Kitty smiled. “You’re the guardian of this maze,” she said. “Can you show us the way out?”
The wolf rose and led them down a narrow passage lined with glowing flowers. As they walked, Kitty stroked the wolf’s fur and talked quietly. The wolf listened politely, its ears twitching. Princess Poppy gathered courage, too, and followed. The maze walls parted for their new friend, opening a bright archway at the far end.
Outside, sunlight poured through the trees. The princess sighed with relief and hugged Kitty. “Thank you, Kitty Cute Me,” she said. The wolf padded behind them, now a loyal friend. At the maze entrance, the queen and court waited. They cheered as Kitty and the princess emerged, safe and sound.
The queen knelt before Kitty and placed a small golden key around her neck. “This key opens any loving heart,” the queen declared. “Bravery and kindness earned you this treasure.” Kitty’s eyes shone as she thanked the queen. Princess Poppy presented Kitty with a beautiful music box carved from moonstone. When Kitty opened it, a gentle tune played, and little sparkles danced in the air.
From that day on, Kitty Cute Me was known as the Brave Witch of the Forest. She still practiced her spells in the garden, but now she did so with confidence. And every time the wind carried the soft melody from the moonstone music box, Kitty remembered that courage and kindness could light any dark path—including the living maze.
