Riley the Wizard lived in a small cozy cottage at the edge of the Enchanted Forest. Riley was a gentle wizard with bright curious eyes and soft blue robes. Riley loved to practice simple spells. Riley was shy, but Riley was brave deep inside. Every morning, Riley waved a tiny wand to light a warm candle and to make tea bubbles dance.
One sunny day, Riley decided to show friends a new sparkly spell. Riley found a golden wand hidden in a velvet pouch. It glittered in warm light. Riley held the wand high and said the magic words. But a sudden breeze swirled through the open door. The wand slipped from Riley’s gentle hand and flew out into the forest.
“Oh no!” said Riley. “My wand is lost!” Riley felt a small wobble in the heart. Without the shiny wand, Riley could not make the dancing bubbles or sparkly lights. Riley knew it was time to be brave.
Riley stepped into the tall green trees. Tiny birds chirped above. Dew drops sparkled like tiny stars on bright green leaves. Riley took a deep breath. “I will find my wand,” Riley whispered. And Riley began the search.
Soon Riley met a friendly fox named Fizz. Fizz had orange fur and clever bright eyes. “Hello, Wizard Riley,” said Fizz with a wag of the tail. “I smell magic in the air. Are you looking for something?”
Riley nodded. “My wand flew away in the breeze. Will you help me?”
Fizz hopped in a circle. “Yes, yes! I will help you. Follow my tracks through the ferns.”
Riley and Fizz tiptoed under ferns and mushrooms. They crossed a babbling stream by stepping on flat stones that sparkled under the water. They slipped on mossy patches and laughed when they almost tumbled.
On the other side of the stream, Riley and Fizz saw a gentle sigh. A baby dragon lay on a soft pillow of grass. The dragon had pale purple scales and sleepy eyes. Riley felt a little unsure. But Fizz winked and stepped forward.
“Dear dragon,” said Riley in a soft voice, “did you see a wand fly by?”
The baby dragon yawned and held out a tiny paw. There, balanced on the dragon’s nose, was the golden wand. The dragon blinked slowly. Riley beamed with hope.
“Here it is,” said the dragon in a soft rumble. “It landed near me when I woke from a nap.”
Riley stepped forward carefully and whispered, “Thank you, dragon. You are so kind.” Riley reached out and took the wand. It felt warm in Riley’s hand once more. Riley waved the wand gently and the dragon giggled as a tiny sparkle puffed from the tip.
Fizz hopped into the air and barked with joy. Riley turned to the dragon. “Would you like to come to my cottage and see the bubble spell?” Riley asked.
The baby dragon nodded shyly. Riley, Fizz, and the dragon walked back through the forest. Sunlight danced on the path. Birds trilled sweet songs.
At Riley’s cottage, Riley held the wand high and spoke gentle words. Bubbles floated from the tip of the wand. Bubbles drifted in the air, shining in rainbow colors. The dragon’s eyes widened. Fizz jumped and tried to pop a bubble with a paw.
They all laughed and clapped. The dragon blew a tiny puff of gentle smoke that made more sparkles. Riley giggled and cast a small light spell. Warm lights flickered like fireflies.
As the sun began to set, Riley offered a snack of sweet honey cake and cool berry juice. The baby dragon nibbled a tiny piece and purred. Fizz nibbled too and wagged.
Riley felt a warm glow in the heart. The wand was back. New friends were made. Riley learned that kindness and a brave heart could solve any problem.
As stars appeared above, Riley tucked the dragon in a soft leaf bed. Fizz curled up by the hearth. Riley placed the golden wand on a special shelf. The cottage was cozy and bright. Riley yawned and whispered, “Goodnight, friends.”
And in the quiet glow of the hearth, Riley the Wizard drifted to sleep, dreaming of new gentle adventures in the Enchanted Forest. The next morning, a bright new day would bring more magic, more friends, and more gentle wonders to discover.
