Cello’s Big Farm Friends

Kids stories

A shy girl, a playful clown, and a gentle giant find friendship on a sunny farm.
Cello’s Big Farm Friends

Cello the fartbag is a little girl on a farm. She is shy but curious. She wears a red dress and tiny boots. She loves the sun and soft grass. She loves the chickens. She loves the cows. She loves the pigs. She loves the sheep. She loves the goats. She loves the pond. She loves the wind. She loves the farm song.

One day Cello the fartbag meets Clown. Clown is a happy friend. Clown wears bright shoes and a big red nose. Clown likes to make silly faces. Clown makes Cello laugh. Clown holds Cello’s hand. They skip in the barn. They sing a rhyme. They clap their hands. They stomp their feet. They laugh again.

They walk to the field. The sun shines warm. The grass is soft. The wind feels nice. Cello feels brave. She smiles at Clown. Clown smiles back. They see a blue bucket. Clown picks it up. Cello helps. They fill it with apples. They fill it with carrots. They fill it with corn. They fill it with hay. They bring it to the animals. The chickens peck. The cows moo. The pigs oink. The sheep baa. The goats bleat.

Suddenly they hear a loud sound. Thump. Thump. Thump. The ground shakes. Cello and Clown hold hands. They turn around. They see Giant. Giant is very tall. Giant has big feet. Giant has big arms. Giant frowns. Giant seems sad. Cello feels small. Clown feels small. They are quiet.

Giant roars a little. The birds fly up. The goats run away. The cows step back. Clown whispers to Cello. “We can help Giant,” Clown says. Cello nods. She takes a deep breath. She steps forward. She holds out her hand. She says, “Hello, Giant.” Giant stops. He looks at Cello and Clown. He blinks.

Clown grins and holds up an apple. Cello holds out a carrot. Giant’s frown melts. Giant takes the apple. Giant nibbles. Giant smiles. Giant waves. Cello and Clown cheer. They dance around Giant. They sing a song for Giant. They clap. They spin. They make Giant laugh.

Giant feels kind. Giant feels warm. Giant picks up a straw hat. Giant places it on Cello’s head. The hat is big and funny. Cello giggles. Clown giggles. They all laugh.

Giant bends down. He taps the ground. A small wooden box pops up. It is under the earth. The box is old and bright. Clown opens the box. Inside is a golden star. The star glows soft. It lights the barn. It lights the field. It lights their hearts.

Cello takes the star. She feels proud. She feels happy. She thanks Giant. She thanks Clown. She thanks the farm. Giant claps. Clown claps. The animals clap too in their own way.

They carry the star to Cello’s home. They hang it above her window. At night it shines bright. It shines like friendship. It shines like kindness. It shines like love.

Later, Cello the fartbag yawns. She hugs Clown. She hugs Giant. She says, “Thank you, friends.” They all cuddle. They rest on a soft hay bed. The moon peeks through the window. The star glows above.

Cello closes her eyes. She dreams of laughter. She dreams of fresh apples. She dreams of kind giants. She dreams of bright stars. She dreams of her friends. She wakes in the morning with a big smile.

Cello the fartbag is happy. She learned that friends can feel big or small. She learned that kindness makes us brave. She learned that sharing makes us smile. She learned that farm days can be magical.

The end.
